Aaaargh! Another game that looks so awesome I'm not going to be able to resist it. Finally a Superheroes game has struggled onto the market. Next I'll discover a Judge Dredd RPG is being released and I'll have absolutely no choice but to clone myself to be able to find time to play them all

I downloaded the demo and I love it. I've already got it on pre-order from Amazon and can't wait to get my hands on the full product. One downside though: it seems that the developers didn't put in a skirmish mode which seems an astonishing oversight on their part. Still, I hear there are two patches coming up...one to fix some bugs and one to add features. I just hope they stick in a skirmish mode. Also there are loads of skins to download from freedom force centre.

I've cracked and ordered the US version from software plus because the Uk version is still 6-8 weeks away. At least this way I can be fairly certain of getting a manualTo doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

Have had it for some time now, and I gotta tell you:
SP rocks, there's a great "Superhero" style story, dialects and so on. Tons of levels...It's just awsome...
MP sucks, there's only 6 MP levels, and most of them are just way to small to make a MP fight last long. Basicly it's just about to hit first, there's not much of a suprise there. Most of the MP maps are way dark, which makes it imposible to recognize an enenmy (or your own heroes) when hiding in shadows, which are all over the place...Also you have to create a new game after each fight, and you need to use gamespy (or know the IP of the people you want to fight against) to join/create a game...And because rightclicking pauses the game, there's a lot of pausing in MP...
Let's just hope the patches makes MP fun...This space is empty... or is it?

And btw, if you like this gae you might like the game www.cityofheroes.com
It's a game (not released yet) were you play a superhero living in an online city, were you all the time get a mission to kick some bad guys, and thereby gain powers (if you win ). I don't know how it all works, but it sounds cool...2 bad they require a monthy fee to be able to play the gameThis space is empty... or is it?

ADG: Your problem with MP maybe rectified once Irrational releases thier level editor. That may also have the secondary effect of spawning user made campaigns which would be awesome, IMO.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Does anyone know where I can find some custom characters for the game? I'm dying to try out a well done Marvel or DC character in the game.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

It's not a DC or Marvel superhero, but If you want I can post my "Johny Canuck" skin.

Osweld, I'll use Wolverine if I want a Canadian super hero.
One more question: Does anyone know how to enable the hidden characters in the game?I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Sob.
I just downloaded the character creation tool and I can not make heads or tales of it. Provided that I'm able to find a good looking Wolverine skin. Would someone be able to walk me through the steps I would have to go through to slap it on the Liberty Lad mesh? Would the claws on his hands show up or does that have to be on a mesh to begin with for it to work?I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

the "character creation tool" really isn't any sort of tool at all, it just allows you to preview a character outside of the game.
The skins you can download from fansites should only require you to put it into the right directory, in order to use them in the game.
I think that there are also skin/mesh creation forums at the official site which you could ask in.Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse

I can't remember exactly where but, somewhere out there, there is a very good Wolverine skin with its very own mesh which shows claws. You could try freedomforce centre for the skin/mesh. Failing that, you'd need to use something like the alpha mesh to build your own Wolverine(this mesh allows you to manipulate/add things like claws or the wings on Captain America's cowl etc.) If you want to learn how to use the character creation tool, the best thing to do is to check out the forums on the official freedom force site(some of them have also come up with a rudimentary skirmish mode there as well). There's a lot of good info there written by some very knowledgable folk.
