I think that should read Gal instead of 'guy'.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

Gal? Really? I didn't know that...

As well as the above I'd recommend Fantasy Empires, Advanced civ/History of the world, Emporer of the fading suns (fairly recently posted) and a number of others I got a hold of before the IDSA incident which aren't available any more...
I would have also recommended any of the 5-star engine series but Leonidas has been so busy posting links to these lately that I'd be surprised if anybody didn't have them all already.

There's always a little life left in those classic games. . .

Recommended games to get from Underdogs

          1. Master of Magic - I'm still playing it regularly, despite the ancient graphics and idiot AI.

          2. Dungeon Master - The best dungeon crawl of all time. Graphics aren't quite what they were on the Amiga, but still a great game.
"THE" plus "IRS" makes "THEIRS". Coincidence? I think not.

            Woohooo!!

I played the demo of that one, and (after slightly editing some build times and costs) I eventually managed to not only capture my entire planet before the set number of turns ran out, but to also start laying seige to another planet!!

So it'll be fun to play that one again.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

              - Emporer of Fading Suns! HUGE game!
              - Also I got colonisation from there before the license thing. My original disks didn't like my mobile going off on top of them.
              - I didn't mind Dink Smallwood from there either, but it quickly gets boring.

There's some good ol' classics there, like boulderdash, choplifter, gyrus (the ALL-TIME BEST SPACE SHOOTER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!).

If anyone is looking for extras for the game, "Emperor of the Fading Suns", check out the mods located at the sites below:

With these mods it plays like a completely different game. . .

                  Thanks

The game is awesome from the modding point of view, you can edit heaps of stats easily in the text files. I still suck at playing it though (my strategy involves putting roads in every square)
