Sid Meier's response for a release date on the last SimGolf chat was "October", but now the official EA SimGolf site says

    "Coming Early 2002"

Let's hope the same doesnt happen for Civ3...

Me thinks you want to have the MP included before the release.

That's unlikely to happen, because I think the reason for the delay in the
release date for SimGolf is the Civ III project.

I also have feeling that they're trying to put all effort on Civ III,
so that they would get the MP ready in time for the game.
Then they wouldn't have to release it later and it could
improve the review ratings for the game, when it's released.

I don't think Civ 3 will be pushed back, both Firaxis and Infogrames are betting on it.

we asked firaxis for a reason for the delay, the answer was

Sid wanted more time to work on the game

Who is publishing the golf game that Sid can pick and choose there but not on Civ3?
