Well, it's actually been longer than 30, closer to 35 years since I was involved in a steady diet of chess games, but 30 years ago is when I started entering Rated Tournaments whenever I could get the time and money to enter.

          Julius,

I'm not sure how much time I'll have over the weekend to make moves. It looks like I'm going to be fairly tied up with server and Network Backup reinstallations along with System Printer outages.

I'll do what I can to make at least one more move before Monday.

Don't hurry too much Ken !
Postal chess is no game of speed
As long as you warn me, you can wait a few days before playing your next turn !
It's all in a friendly mood

                  Julius,

Can you recommend a good Historical Geography of Switzerland? Part of my pre-revolutionary family came from Switzerland and I'd like to do some additional study of the social and political conditions in their area at the time of their departure. In either English or German would be fine. My French or Italian is not good enough to handle that kind of material.

                  Thanks,

                  Ken

Ken, your question is a tough one
I'll try to answer it later in the week, when I got more time
