Yes. I used to have it for the Atari and the PC. The Atari version was much better.

It was (still is) a great strategy game, with depth, and fast enough to play multiplayer against several others (hotseat) in one evening. The random events, the pirates, watching you colonies develop (with or without the use of slaves) and in some times rebel. Very good game. I wish I had my Atari and not selling it.
The pc version is if I remember correctly, without music (unless you consider the pc speaker a SONY hi fi system) and with worse graphics. The worse though, no mouse support. Still, I wish I could it play even that.

Yeah, had this on the ATARI ST. It was really fun.
But you can relive much of the magic in the game in Europa Universalis, playing as a colonial power.

I have heard good things about the game, mainly in cdmag.

I have to wait for the game to be released in the States though, so they will import it here in Greece.

I remember it from my Amiga days, nice colonial strategy game. Still that was before the days of civ, of course
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.
