I remeber Spear of Destiny, wasn't all that fun though, with all those creepy fooes (I like killing the nazies a whole lot better...) and I'll get my chance in wolf3d part 2 to do just that, plus the quake3 engine will help just a bit... and I bet my ass (maybe I shouldn't) that someone is going to remake the first wolf3d levels with the editor... (sigh) the memories...

MP is the only way to play. Against the AI it's pretty dry (worse than CIV II).

C&C (the original)
ST:BOTF
AOE:ROR

... of course, those are the last three I bought. I'm big on buying the best games from 2-5 years ago, because they always run really fast on my not-so-bleeding-edge machine, and I can get them cheap. Example: C&C's Worldwide Warfare set: C&C, plus expansions, and C&C:Red Alert plus two expansions, all for one nice low price.

And of course CTP, SMAC, and Civ2.
