I read about this game in PC Gamer magazine. it says its going to be a massively multiplayer (500 players!)RTS with strategic elements played on a HUGE globe of earth.

What does this mean for Civ 3!?

it will mean nothing for civ3 since rts is a stupid sort of strategygaming more suited for children and idiots. with two exeptions: Dune 2 and the close combat series (the 4th is pretty cool, playing it now and watching 100s of GI's getting killed in the cold snow).
