One thing that is really acurate
One thing that I found pleasing about BoTF is that it acurately showed how much a conquered planets really really really hates you. (as well as your own planets if you are a nice power like the feds). In Civ once they are conquered there is no "la resistance". Don't get me wrong, I like civ and smac (not ctp) much better than botf, i just wanted to share this.
