What I do think, is that we need a way to slow things down.

Something like : each person is only allowed a maximum of two guesses per word ( letter or word).

Indeed. It would have been better than a rash word choice.

That's the only word I know that contains that letter Y. What did I have to lose?

Well you will note from the rules, that I know you and Duke have read thoroughly ( ), that should you have guessed 'y' you would have been able to follow up with a word guess.

Guessing the word when many would fit is not good team play.

Someone guess 'y' already.

Ok, point taken. Of course I would have to know many words that fits for me to know that guessing a word is bad at that moment.
