I can see WC3 for fairly cheap on eBay, but I've got to do lots of work in the next month and a half so buying a new game would not be a good idea, no matter how cheap.
Sorry, but you're not getting the +1 bonus that Jamski gets for Baldur's Gate help.
Well, not yet anyway. It's not as if you need it....

I saw that you can buy something called a battle chest with about 4 games in for £20 or so (depending on bids). What's that then? Are there loads of expansions?

Nah IIRC that pack has the two games and some lame strategy guides.

            Strategy guides!
The only strategy guide I've ever used was for Final Fantasy VII. But I have to admit that I do like people posting questions about errors and glaring omissions in the Civ 2 Prima Guide. Not that I would ever stoop to that. That's 'poly's raison d'être!
            That and the +1s

Someone posted some official strategy guide tips in the Civ3 forum the other day. It was hilarious.

Just buy the 2 games, when you get around to it.

Then you giggle at ur geekdom and feel good about urself.

Ya, but some games are more fun with a strategy guide, like GTA vice City.
yah the game was fun, but I wwas renting it originally, so a quick and easy was how I wanted to experience it.
Lysistrata: It comes down to this: Only we women can save Greece.
Kalonike: Only we women? Poor Greece!

yea i used "strategy guide" for gta too (actually it was a guide from gamefaq) for GTA. when u know NOTHING about a casual game like gta and u just want fast answers its good.

But i was talking about games like Civ, Quake or street fighter. Making Strategy guide for those games are funny.
                      :-p
