    • MONTLY?
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

        2 guess remaining.

        Used: a p e r s b t + 1 incorrect word guess.

        • I

Homily is a possibility, and I'm unsure whether foxily is a real adverb, or one that Doc has constructed for the purposes of this quiz.

          • Are you doing I, homily or both?

            • Incorrect word guesses haven't added to the total, before, have they? I thought only letters did, but incorrect guesses just meant that person could no longer take part this round.

Also, if it's bolded, it's done, IMHO.

                  • No they shouldn't!

Just because it's your round does not mean you can change the rules mid way through the game. It just means that I can't guess again. If you want to play like that then if no-one gets it you lose a point.

Why? I think that person being kicked out is enough of a punishment for guessing. If you consider a guess, not a letter, as losing a life, then it must also count as one of the two things that turn, hence he cannot guess homily and an I, and also count toward shte two consecutive sets.

                      Look at the rules:
                      1. 10 guesses.
                      3. Any guesses after 2 have occured since the last update will be ignored.
If a word guess is considered a guess, for the purposes of lives, it's also considered a guess for the purposes of after 2 all others will be ignored.

                      • Furthermore, since it only says:
                        5. You can guess the word at any time, but guessing incorrectly eliminates you from play.
And not that you lose a life. Also:
                        6. The winner must post the rules (along with any changes) when presenting the next word.
Which means if you want to change it from before, you'd have to post the changes.

In usual hangman, they count, but then in usual hangman, they don't eliminate you either.

                        • It's simple. As things started a word guess was a guess and was treated like any other guess in that you couldn't participate in 2 consecutive rounds. Then someone suggested that it wasn't fair for someone that correctly guessed a letter to not be able to follow up, so we altered it to being able to guess the word at any time, regardless of whether 2 guesses had already been made that round, or whether you had chosen a letter too recently. If the word guess is incorrect you are not allowed to participate further for that game.

It's obvious that word guesses must count as using up a life, otherwise people could just sit there all day guessing words not letters. It doesn't say explicitly that you lose a life, but it's obvious, and it's the way we have done it since the start.

The result stands. There is one guess remaining.

                            • Its been the way Spikie is running this game since the "guess a word at any time" rule.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).
