Gee, that's amazing. What the, he manages impossible rocketjumps... though in a few places I'm not exactly sure that what he does is possible, but it must be. Absolutely AMAZING.

Go to www.planetquake.com and look for Quake 2 Done Quick. All of Quake 2 is beaten in just over 12 minutes IIRC. It's a badass video to watch.

        Download doesn't work for me.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Download should work, there are several different mirrors anyway...

I don't think this video is fake. I can perfectly imagine this to work, though sometimes he was close to getting killed. At one time he only had 1% health, and luckily he managed to sap 40% health out of some big mutha.

However, you have to have played this game insanely much to know all of it by heart. Every shot he makes has its purpose. Simply amazing!

alva: yes I got it there
Busta: there's also a quake1 done quick if you want

afaik there isn't anyway to do doom speed runs in different tries then link them all together like in other games. i'm curious enough that i'm going to dl this movie. what level did he play at and how did he go so much quicker? if he did rj's he might have been using a new doom client which allows them and jumping/etc instead of standard old doom(which is near impossible to do that stuff).

here are some other doom 2 speed runs. you need doom 2 to play them back. 14 mins seems insane compared to these other runs.

No, he can't jump. He does rocketjumps instead. I don't know how he does it because I don't play doom II. I think he played on nightmare level, judging by the amount of monsters in the levels. You have to watch it to believe it. He finished levels in just 10 seconds sometimes. On certain levels he only makes 3 or 4 kills anyway

He played on Ultra-Violence: highest amounts of monsters but no respawns for them. He uses the PRBOOM client, which does not allow for any extra feautures, except that it simply is fully ported to Windows. I haven't, for instance, been able to get my original game going under XP too well, though it works.

He uses rocketjumps, and many of them. In the Inmost Dens level, he simply skips almost all of it by an excellent rocket jump. In the Industrial Zone, he uses the secret exit. IIRC, they all took him under a minute. He doesn't fire too much, generally running at much to high a speed for the monsters. The most difficult part, IMO, are the rocket jumps. I know a few good jumps in Doom, but can't do them every time - certainly not insanely like he does. Every single jump he does throws him right where he wants to be.

All of those servers suck Sava. You'll just have to deal with the hour or so download.

This is how you're supposed to play Doom. Most of the time you spend running around, not shooting things.

I remember that trick he used to get the card with room full of barons and cyberdemon.

I cant believe he used a clipping glitch to beat suburbs (level after wolf3d ones) so fast. That level is friggin hard.
                          :-p
