UT2004 looks like the real sequel to UT. I personally think that 2003 had a very different game dynamic and that 2004 brings back (especially in Onslaught).
Too bad it'll be 30 hours before I can play . And this stupid frickin' snow in March ...

So hows it play?
Surely you have it installed by now.
Niiiiice
Its got all that original lush MP goodness feeling that the original UT had... maybe even moreso, because you have real cooperation in MP, now, rather than opportunistic coincidences of cooperation.
Onslaught is just an incredibly good game type. Very addictive, and DE just knows how to design good levels.
Will it run on my PC Mr.Baggins?..............oh i see - i'll just get my jacket

Given that Epic had already reached a sweet, sweet point with the original Unreal Tournament, and some would argue with UT2003, it was fair to wonder what more they could do with the next iteration of the series. Well, it's easy to say they've delivered, and then some. A huge selection of new maps, gorgeous graphics, improved game play, and the return of Assault are generous enough. But the addition of Onslaught, with its powerful vehicles and tactical variety, makes UT2004 into a multiplayer behemoth, offering enough action, depth, and expansion possibilities (just think of the mods here, people), to justify keeping UT2004 on your hard drive for a long, long time. Has Epic provided an alternative to a glut of military-themed shooters? Hell yes they have. That, and then some.

Another Take
Unreal Tournament 2004 marks a stunning and welcome comeback for the Unreal franchise. It looks great, it runs well, the new modes are awesome and the core combat is tight. The vehicles are implemented to near perfection, the bots are among the best we've seen in any multiplayer game, the single-player ladder is fun, and there's so much STUFF that you could probably play this (and nothing else) through the end of 2004. If you like multiplayer games, it's hard to imagine anyone who won't find something to like in UT 2004.

Is UT2k4 a game that will have mods?
You betcha... big time.
I'm a big fan of Quake 3 (and its many mods) and Counter-strike. Would I like this game do you think?
I don't know... probably. There is a demo that you can download to try it. I loved it, fwiw.
What kind of vehicles are we talking about?
Tanks, buggies, hover vehicles, space fighters... you name it. Lots of vehicles are possible, and can have multiple crew members (with 1 driver, and a gunner, for instance.)
