Anyone ever "the sims" on a Commodore back in the olden days?

IIRC it was called 'Little Computer People", although it was probably closer to Kamagotchi.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

          Is there a problem?

Updated graphics and AI is all Rebellion 2 would need.

A user interface might be nice this time around too.

Symptom of a larger problem. They used to be the best gaming company around. But they have abandoned almost all of their original work, producing only craptastic Star Wars cash-ins.

The only game worth half a damn to come out of LucasArts the past few years was KOTOR, and that was actually developed by Bioware.

Good article. I hope that someone does pick up the work that was done on S&M:FP, not that that'll happen.

UR: The article is fine. I could never enjoy the Tony Hawk games, but that doesn't mean they're bad, just not for me. Same with The Sims; it's not for everyone, but it's a unique achievement.

Therefore this is not a syllogism.

                  Simple. Take lessons from Blizzard.

Maxis call them software toys, not games, simply because there's no goal to them. Or rather, the game doesn't have any built-in ones.

All Blizzard games suck unless you play multiplayer. While the MP games aren't so hot, the solo campaigns are just horrendous.

he didnt mention Fallout 3!!!!!!!!! This article is teh suck!

Grand Theft Auto III (And its successor, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City) pushed the envelope of violence in videogames

no it didnt, Doom has far more gore and its ancient. take that crappy article writer person who wont read this.

There are a lot of good points mentioned though, like Sega is in fact a million times better than Nintendo, and LucasArts should have stuck with movies, especially after thier ten-billionth Star Wars game.

As was reinforced by patch 1.10 for Diablo 2.

The point about the graphics is a good one, not that i expect any of todays big companies to ever realise it.

3D is fine IF the rest of the game is a good game(and suitable to 3D), it doesn't make a good game or even a game that will sell well, as highlighted by many of the recent takeovers/collapses of game companies.

Nice article, still as the games industry consolidates itself by moving into larger and fewer companies to survive - you cant help but wonder where it will end and who the next Sega will be?

I just buy with caution these days

I reckon that most decent games can stand to have at least one 'cloned' sequel.

It's just nice to have a bit more of the same, in case the franchise goes belly-up when it gets reinvented.
