In the original Goldeneye, you got awards at the end of the multiplayer. Do you think HALO should have this? If so, what awards?

And besides that, there have been plenty of great games that are based on that concept. Even just that concept minus the whole ally thing! Like Castle Wolfenstein that didn't have the ally, and it changed the industry by introducing the shoot anything that moves GENRE! Emphasis on GENRE! I is kind of hard to argue that a concept is bad, when it is a GENRE! This was successful even in the 2-D format. 3-D is a gift from god! complaining about the graphics is a superficial look at video games. By critiquing the games on such a moot point, you only further reveal your shallow nature.

Instinct to shoot things with guns - amazing, since firearms were only invented 700 years ago. Now if you said hit things with rocks, that would be different. Do you hit things with rocks in Halo?

It appeals to the basic human instinct of combat. Fighting was a part of daily life for the caveman when gathering food. It is deeply interlocked into the mind of every human, this primal urge to fight, to kill, to defend ones life. Guns were just the natura lprogression of things. Obviously, throwing rocks would make for a pretty lame game, unles it had very well designed levels, and wel thought out gameplay. If you want to get picky though, HALO does have grenades which are like exploding rocks. Realy cool exploding rocks!
