I wouldn't buy an XT anyway, they are way too expensive for a small performance increase.

What do you use to overclock your Radeon 9800 Pro? I have a utility that came with the card (it's the Hercules version) but I don't know if it is any good.

No it does not! SC has a MSEE and understands things like low DB case fans (plus there on a reobus that is built into the case so I can turn them up/down when needed, there is also a thermocouple to put where you desire, which I jammed in the memory.)

The only thing that sounds like a beast is the 5.1 speaker set-up.

Again Atitool and powerstrip are good ones. I haven't tried the Rage3D one yet.
You can get them all at major geeks.

You should try Aquamark 3, PH.

I just patched my Radeon 9500 to a Radeon 9700, and the result is astonishing:

I jumped from a score of 21,135 to a score of 32,751. And it didn't cost a penny more.

I ran the 3DMark 2001 test as well, just for kicks. I scored 13,508.

it's been like two years since i benchmarked with 3dmark:

                    athlon 1700xp+
                    geforce 3 ti-200

all i remember is that i got to within like 200 pts of the max possible with an athlon 1700xp so i stopped, i belive it was like 3.6k at the time, max anybody got was like 3.8k.

                    lemme try aquamark.

                      10,331 with aquamark.

                      heh 3dmark 2001 won't work with dx 9.0.

The Raptor is surprisingly quiet. My older comp has a 30mb 7200rpm drive that is a lot louder than this one. I do not know if this is the reason, but I put dampening washers on the screws when I mounted the drive.
