No, no.
Some of the best levels in this game were slightly slower than the others (depending upon whether you knew the track as well as I did
), because you didn't have a very good view of the track. Still, the owl was in control all the way!

Yes!
An absolutely wonderous game: miles and miles better than the wildly overrated Supercars, and about as good as Micro Machines, which came along quite a long time later. The owl was a Psygnosis reference, and they were, and still are, responsible for some of the greatest games ever.

Yeah - driving along at night with only two triangles of sight was a blast! When you were doing the night-time tracks for the first time it made sense to hang back a bit so that you had the advantage of the competitors' headlights too.
Mind you, I don't think that there were oil patches on the track in the night stages - that would have made things very difficult.

Woohoo... I didn't play this game much, so I didn't remember that you could pick something up from the ground... and didn't know the 'Owl' was behind this game also...
