  • accelerate straight
    BUT question about move.
    can I accelearte right and stay on the track.
    When does the right occur, at the beginning or at the end. (this could impact SK also) OR doesn't it matter.
    If at the end or doesn't matter, I want to

    accelerate right

      • Despite popular belief, the object of the game isn't to hit other cars for no reason. It slows you down as well.

          • Okay, regarding the turns. Like I said before somewhere, the way it works is: on the very first line jump you shift left/right, and then keep on going straight. So, if rah turns right now, then he will go off-track.

            I will accelerate and turn right.

              • Thanks for the clarification. Especially since it's something I should have already known.

                It is now more obvious that cars with different characteristics would make this more interesting, and hidden orders of course.

                • Yep. Also, just as a little more clarification on turning. Since turning occurs on the first line jump, you essentially move diagonally that once. So, suppose we take Jamski's projected position. From there, he can turn right and stay on track.

                  Also, if we have a car that can turn by more than one dot at a turn, then the jump occurs gradually, not immediately. So, on the first line jump, the car would shift by one dot to the side, on the next jump - by one more, etc..

                  • Makes sense to me now.
                    But you'll eventually have to deal with fractions and have to have specifics for doing so.

                    A car that can turn 2 but is at speed thee is one such example. There are many other possibles.
