So basically one person is the Mafia and kills off everyone one by one. What would be funny is if the GM secretly chose the Mafia (didn't tell the real Mafia) and everyone put in a hit each turn. Then the GM announced the death of the one the Mafia picked. You wouldn't be sure if you were the mafia or if you just happened to pick the same target the real Mafia picked.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

You can't have a mafia game without the original mafia

It just has to be an even number. We've played with 16 and 20 before.

Ok, due to popular demand we will go to 18 this game. I want to keep the numbers small so this will be a quick game over the holidays. Now that brings us to the slight problem of not having a GM. Asmodean hasn't responded since this thread was up (it is holiday time, after all) so does anyone want to volunteer to run this game?
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

a) They wouldn't be able to actually play the game.
b) They would pick the mafia, PM them and ask for who they kill next.
c) They would post who was killed by the mafia (in gory detail) and then let people vote for who they think the mafia is.
d) They would then execute the villager with the most votes, and the cycle would start again.
Or to make the description smaller, they would do what Sheep did in the first few games.
