The ageing general looks tired after the initial sparring. Suddenly, Skanky Meridius strikes, and Jamskius cannot respond in time. The blow does 2 damage.

Jamskius looks very tired after the previous exchanges; suddenly Skanky strikes once more, doing 3 damage against the lethargic Jamskius. However, Skanky gets overconfident and allows the general to scrape his thigh with his blade, doing 1 damage.

Btw I meant to post on ties.......I'm giving the tie to the attacker, and I think this should be the default.
