      Try looking into Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin at www.battlefront.com for tacticle WW2 combat.

        Then maybe Shogun Total War might be up your alley... I haven't yet found time to play it, but a collegue, who's an oldtime (both board and PC) war gamer, loved it!

        It came out in 2001 IIRC and shouldn't be too expensive now. It looks really great and my collegue (as I said a real war game expert) praises its gaming features...

        There are sequels to it now, like Medieval Total War... They all blend RTS and TBS features...

                Not really.......as expansion go it is quite good IMO. However, there is a bug with the corruption calculations that needs to be addressed asap.
