    • No to both.

/me starts to wonder if he is the only one in this thread who owned a Commodore 64 in the 80's.

      • Maybe the clues are rubbish?

        • Alright here's a screenshot. Anyone who owned a C64 should get it from this.

          • That's "Lord of Conquests" but I don't think that was a popular game... was it?

            • Never heard about it...

...but I didn't play any strategy games before I got the Amiga
This space is empty... or is it?

              • Kropotkin got it. It was fairly popular during the period it came out and the second EA game I bought after Archon. Next.

                • So, OK. Gotta come up with a new game. I hope you'll manage to solve it until I go away on a holiday trip on sunday, but that's usually not a problem. The opposite really...

                  • First clue:

                    1) Quite simple strategy game (as in; not very advanced) for the amiga (and PC also), late 1980s.

That game was also available on the pc. Please list all platforms next time.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

I didn't know it was available on the PC, according to EA they only made it available for the C64.

I know that you did not mean it that way, but that comes off pretty harsh. Sometimes we do not know all of the platforms.

Sorry if it came off as a bit harsh but i played Lords of conquest on the pc. I always thought it was a pc only game because in difficult situations the AI would fall into a near infinite thinking loop. Had i known it was a c64 game as well I probably would have ventured a second guess. Not that I mind looking from the sidelines at others having a go ,)

When I choose a game i usually try and select games that came out for multiple platforms. I just do a quick checkup on the web to make sure.

                            • Well I'll be the first to admit that I do not check, but I ususally have chosen a game that was C64 only in an era before IBM. However, I might say something like not sure about PC platform or the like.

I don't want to start a flame war or anything, cuz I think you are a pretty cool guy and I have much respect for you gaming knowledge. Especially when I start talking with my buddies about some old game, remembering every detail, they look at me like I'm a freak...Well it is good to know that I am not alone!

                              • No one's gonna guess my game? I thought that was what we did here...

                                2) There's a connection between this game and this forum.
