I have been playing the sandbox mode most of the time, and one of the scenario some of the time. There is no money to spend or make, so it is a little hard telling how well you are doing in the sandbox.
The 3 D is great. You have to get used to it.
Laying track is OK for strait away, but a little harder on turns and connecting to existing track.
Tunnel can be built, but not until you have like a 20% grade or more. I'm going to Poptop site and ask if they would make it more real like.
They need more maps.
The other thing is that when you build a station next to a grain field or dairy farm, your train will not always haul grain or milk to the city. In fact your grain field or dairy may not produce any grain or milk. Your train will run empty if you deman that it hauls grain or milk. It might be a bug in the game.
They give you a reference guide and beginners guide and the strategy guide will not be release until next week sometime to find out how to really play the game.
So far I like the game, just have to get use to it.Comment

I just installed it, and have already encountered several bugs:
At the beginning of my first install something went wrong, and I got a popup saying it didn't have access to the directory I installed it into (And yes, it's on MY HD, and some drive on some other computer
). I couldn't even go into that dir manually (Though after restart I can)... all "normal" dirs worked like normal
Anyway, I tried to install a second time (into a second dir), and didn't get any error msgs, though when I play the game it freezes the whole computer. As long as I do nothing at all in the game, everything seems normal (Music still plays, etc), but 1 second after I start scrolling around the map the computer freezes... I can't do anything... not even listen to music... only way out: RebootThis space is empty... or is it?Comment

Aha, thanks for the heads up, ADG. Seeing my success running new games lately, it's probably a good idea for me not to even bother with this at least untill a patch or a demo is released... Hope you can resolve your problem, though... somehow.Comment
