muxec: Please bear in mind that I'm still a relative newbie to this game, but I think that I've read that some warp points can actually damage your ships. Not all, but some warp points.
Maybe that's the explanation, but I'm not sure, because I have not experienced this.

P.S. I you want expert advice, Lemmy is the guy to hunt down
Alternatively, go here: http://www.shrapnelgames.com/cgi-bin...ubb=forum;f=23Im not sure what Baruk Khazad is , but if they speak Judeo-Dwarvish, that would be "blessed are the dwarves" - lord of the mark

muxec, are you sure you loaded your colony ship with population?
If you order your colony ship to colonize something and it's over one of your planets, it will load population automatically, however if you order it to move or warp somewhere, no population will be loaded onto it. You'll have to load the population manually then.<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.
Play Bumps! No, wait, play Slings!

Yeah....this might be the explanation. In my first game, I tried to colonize a planet, but could not for the life of me figure out why it (the planet) couldn't build anything. It took me quite a while to notice that the planet had zero population.
