What's the most unrealistic "realism" game you have ever played/seen? By "unrealistic" I don't mean games that tries to make everything realistic, but realistic in a "in-theory-it-could-be-real" kinda games (Like Dues Ex (or whatever that game is called), which doesn't necesary try to be real, but could in theory be real...) if you understand what I'm trying to say... (This means games like Super Mario is not an option
)
Carmageddon is one of the most unrealistic "realism" games I've ever played... It's realistic in a way, there's not much unrealism in the cars (The weight fits them, the stearing fits them... more or less, etc), and the maps are realistic also... but it's unrealism comes in the randomness in the game:
Anyone remember that huge yellow truck? (huge wheels, weights 50+ tons). As I got to the mission where I had to destroy it, it only took 6 sec to do so... I ran my 1.5 tons, very small, car into it's front tire (Front on front), and the truck lost 100% while I didn't lose any "health" at all...
In another game, we played MP, everybody had cars from the 1 ton to 2.5 ton... my car had lost 20% (Only the engine was destroyed, so I couldn't go fast), I drove with half speed (Based on the fact my engine was destroyed, so full speed would be pretty slow) into a parked car (With 5% "health")... I lost all 80%, while the parked car didn't lose anything at all...
This happens all the time in these games...
