  • I don't object ljcvetko to take over zorbops place in the first group, but of course the games already started should be newly replayed and not just taken over.

    • Thanks Sir Ralph.
And naturally I do appreciate your suggestion to start new games.
If all of you accept this, I can start new games immediately.

      • If you'd like to warm up before playing the masters, I'll play your first match. Will you start the thread and take the first move?

With all respect for the currently active players, whoever emerges as the strongest one will have to face JB IMHO before calling himself the Apolyton champ. Julius hasn't even let a draw out of his hands...

            Thanks Carolus.
Some games were pretty close, especially the last one.

            • As you may gather from the time it took me to answer Carolus' post, I am quite busy.

I was once known as the Apolyton champ long ago, by winning games in this very forum, that's what Carolus talked about.

It's nice to see all those games going and all this interest for chess in this forum

It is impossible for me to keep the pace, I have too much work and I like to spend time on almost every move.

Here's what I can propose. If a champion comes out of your tournament(s), I would gladly oppose him in a single match, with, let's say, "a move a week at least" pace (it doesn't forbid to go faster).

I don't have time for more, so I perfectly understand if you don't accept the challenge the way I present it. I am no Fischer and no Kasparov, neither in my level of playing, neither in the desire to hold my title by any tricky means.

If I can play the winner under my conditions (or some other propositions that I would agree), that's fine. Otherwise, I can be seen as a "retired" champ that won't blame IBM, FIDE, Braingames or Apolyton, and that's also fine with me.

Keep on playing all those nice games !

                • I would like to start a game with Jaguar Warrior.
Since I'm playing in stead of zorbop, I'm white in this one.
                  Here's the thread.

                  • Sir Ralph, you also seem to have completed (won !!!???)all other games, so I suggest you start a new thread with you as white

                        • I think you need to find someone to pair with, then you get in on a tourney of six.
