  • Morrowind - Is it worth buying???

My Question is, as you my have guessed, Is Morrowind worth buying, At the mo im on a budget and so dont want to buy the game if its not worth it.

I want a deep single player story line witch i dont really think NWN has. I already have NWNights witch is great for MP but lacks a good involving, i dont wanna go to bed now ill just play ten more mins plot.

I know there are 2 Expansion paks out already so i know it will be long enough to play, witch im looking for, but is it any good?

Any body thats playing/is plaing morrowind can you please post how you rate is SP value

    Thanks for any replies

    It's great.

Took me two weeks to finish the main plot and there were so many stuff I havent done yet that I figured that i'll never do them so I didnt even bothered.

It's OK but you'd better check your system before buying it. Although it's rumored to be good for old computer you'd better play SimCity 4 if your computer is old.

It's really good when you patch it up.

It has no MP content, so all the good things youve seen about it relate to SP

Yes, its a great game. Kept me playing for a couple months, plus the expansion packs add to it. Might as well get the x-packs for it at the same time if you plan to get the PC version. If you are going for the xbox version, wait till their latest version comes out that will include the xpacks.

              fyi

it does run decently on my P3 700 computer. I have a Geoforce 440 (or is it 400) MX video card. And I have 256 megs ram.

I haven't had too many complaints about slow ups. But the frames do freeze up occasionally esp. while transitioning to different areas. But the games still plays with a decent frame rate and looks good.

                Hmmm sounds good, i have a AMD 1800 XP+ (1.53GHZ), 768Mb RAM (512mb chip + 256mb chip), GeForce FX 5200 (128mb) so it should be smooth running.

From the above replies i think ill get the game. Thanks for the advise guys

                  That's great for the game.

On any system, you'll have to get used to pressing [quicksave] a ton (random, global, unfixable crashes). Crank up the rez, cancell all your appointments . The interface is not as flexible as other games (NWN, could use a more dynamic interface), but you'll get used to it fast.

If you really like it, think about Tribunal (expansion) and Bloodmoon (not as good)>

Morrowind is one of the prime reasons I'm buying a new computer.

There is a difference between unfixed and unfixable.

Dd they not fix a majority of the crashes in the expansion packs? I was planning on buying them when they came out for xbox (pc's only a 450 MHz) but if they didn't fix a majority of the crashes I may not bother.
