  • will wright to make TV show

But it wont be based on any games - supposed to have a robot theme. Deal is with Fox, I think.

Oh *yawn* goody, ANOTHER "battlin' 'bots" program.

(^Given that it's FOX, that would be my guess)
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.

Well, if it's on Fox it should only make it a season before they can it. Unless it sucks; then it'll get a three year extension in a great slot.

      Hip hip hooray for Faux!

It could be a reality TV show where millions of people tune in to watch complete strangers decorate their houses, urinate all over the living room carpet, have lesbian affairs with the professional slacker next door who's been skinned to look like a Vulcan, take a full two hours to have a shower and take a dump, get refused a promotion to General in the armed forces because they aren't friendly with enough people in their neighbourhood, become barricaded in their own bedroom because the child they had delivered over the phone is blocking the door and there's no way for them to move it and set fire to the kitchen by trying to put some vegetables in the microwave.

In fact, that might be an idea for a computer game. Someone should mention it to Will... but no, it'd never catch on.

If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

          SimRobots.

Replace all the people in The Sims with robot graphics.

I think simulated artificial life is one step too far, even for the Sunday gamers.

i think its supposed to be a sitcom.

Boy you hardcore gamer types hate the sims

I mean its only close to the best selling PC game, with a massive xpack franchise. Keeps the whole genre visible, with shelfspace, etc. At stores that otherwise would only be selling console games. Might even get some new folks into the hobby - including - mirabile dictu - women in significant numbers.

I guess fighting monsters and shooting at people in post-nuke worlds is more "serious" gaming

I don't hate it. It's the funniest game I've ever played, for many of the reasons I listed above.

I'm actually looking forward to The Sims 2, although I wouldn't buy it without reading lots of reviews and playing a demo.

                  It is a game?

No, I do play Nuclear War and Naval War and Kings and Things and Talisman and Cosmic Encounter.

But The Sims is simply not a game.

No. Fighting monsters and stabbing people in a magic-filled land is more serious gaming. Can you slay dragons in The Sims?

No, Sims: Attack of the Dragons is not scheduled for release until the end of year, shortly before Sims: Timely Suicide.

I've been looking forward to Sims: Timely Suicide for months now. I heard it's truly going to revolutionalize the way people get hit by buses.

In a merger with reality tv people who play the game actually will get hit by buses.

                            No more Sunday Gamers.

I'm looking forward to the Sims 2 too. With the (possible) addition of multiplayer, the game will actually have challenges! Wow!
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).
