I'll start with some vague clues and then get more specific.

    1. This game had Unicorn vs Basilisk
    Too easy.

    • I thought it would be easy. I loved that game. Killed my sister all the time. Got to be a demon with the little club guys and could kill her powerful guys with my little club guys.
Hold my girlfriend while I kiss your skis.

The clubbers were the best. If you knew how to work them right you could kill just about anything.

Nah, somebody else can go. I'm out of ideas for the time being.

            • Ok i waited to see if there would be other takers of Static's offer.

              platform: PC/Amiga(maybe Atari ST?)

Clue#1 Its set in the future, you start with a crashed ship and need to build up a colony.

              Clue#2 'Derrik'(spelling?)

Clue#3 start very small and grow to explore your surroundings.

There was a game with this concept before Alpha Centauri?

                    More clues!

                      • I think I'm right, because Derrick is the name of the guy who made it (or at least help make it), although, that was Outpost 2, not the first Outpost, and I don't think Outpost was made for the Amiga or the Atari ST, coz its quite graphic intensive.

                            • ok i think War of Art is close but for others who need some more:

Clue#6 In some ways this game was really really good and in some ways it was really really bad.
It could have been one of the classic games but just missed out because of a few annoying design issues.

Clue#7 'oh my god aliens! - ah good aliens great!'

Clue#8 'oh my god more aliens - OH MY GOD they are BAD!'
