Most police officers go on power trips. I have learned it's best not to even talk to them.

I really hope that's not true. I have a lot of respect for what police officers do. They are vital to our society. But I hope this police officer loses his job.

if your bro was peacfully protesting this event, as realy, none of us here actualy know what happened, and all you have is his account, all i can say is that the officer was wrong. nnow even if he didtrespass, he didnt resist arrest, as he wasnt notified of an actual arrest and as for disturbing the peace, maybe, but the ex-marine should also cop that one as well.

but my personal oppinion here, its just suppresion of anti gov't oppinion

            Not a chance.

They won't even slap him on the wrist. I doubt any officers would consider his actions wrong in the slightest. I mean, did those guys in NY who sodomized a guy with a broom even get fired? I thought they were just transfered or sent a half-stern letter.

I know the chances are slim. Police officers are very well protected.

I respect police officers too. They do a lot of good work. I'm not one of these anarchists/commies who are against our police forces. Trust me, I'm glad they are there.

But one cannot deny that fact that power corrupts. And when put in a position of power, many people do go on power trips. Not all, but many.

Because she was well-mannered and I was a chest-thumpin', always-arguing teenage-boy (actually, 20) when we met. Because she knows more about these things than I do. Because she's made me into a better man.

From the description of his behaviour, maybe your brother should try being more civil and less disobedient in the future.

And not automatically blame just about everyone but himself for his apparent lack of self-control.

Yes we should all salute people who go around picking fights.
