Iguana Fire Announces Extensive Expansion of Bio and Chemical Weapons Programs

His Excellency, Komnenus IV announced late yesterday that Iguana Fire, in an effort to contend with the hostile leftist, anti-consumerist democracies in the Apolyton region has decided not to focus on men or equipment, but on extensive special ops training and small tactical weapons of mass destruction.

In other words, you're copying the existing Alecrast force organisation?

Seriously though, don't make the mistake we did. While our population was small, it was a good idea, butas it gets larger, you need those conventional forces, for defensive purposes if nothing else.

Centralis would like to politely suggest that Iguana Fire turn it's attentions to devleoping more useful weapons. Not only do bio-chemical weapons tend to be somewhat unreliable and inneffective except against weak oponents and civilians, their use will also provoke a large international backlash.

Alecrast supports these policies up to a point. Infecting a whole nation with non-lethal, rather nasty, diarrhea, could be rather demoralizing, could it not? And I'd love to see conventional army fighting when it's slipping over its own excrement. There's more than one way to fight a war.

Alecrast may have a point, actually, although diarrhea can be fatal in some cases, and having an entire nation infected with it could cause much nastier diseases to spread due to the quantity of excrement released.

Quite possibily. It was only a hasty example. But still, you see my point. There is a time and place for this sort of weapons, and to disable an opponent with the least amount of actual killing possible is certainly one of them.

The Dominion of Noosland objects the development of any and all chemical and biological weapons.

Komnenus has no idea what you are speaking of becuase Alecrast has yet to list their exact numbers of spec ops, etc.

Iguana Fire wishes to exterminate all enemies in defense. Iguana Fire does not wish to expand. Iguana fire is happy where it is and merely wishes to have its corporations take over the world- but as it is, corporations such as NikeIguana and MicroGeko are profiting due to Iguana Fire's large amount of natural resources. Iguana Fire sees no need to allow other nations to survive- especially if they hurt coroporations.

However, Komennus says, "Iguana Fire will not provoke any war action. We merely keep these weapons for defensive purposes."

Komnenus was also reported as saying that "Noosland can stuff it."

Noosland wishes Iguana Fire to cease all development on chemical and biological weapons through diplomatic channels, however, other actions cannot be precluded at this point.

We would advise against the construction of any more chemical or biological weaponary. With the apparent increase in terrorism in the region, such weapons should be limited as to reduce the chance of them ever falling into terrorist hands. We shudder to think what would happen if a biological attack were orchestrated in a densly-packed city such as Ceroo City or Newport.
Where we will not threaten Iguana Fire with any military action if they do not wish to observe Ceroo's (and a number of other nations') opinion, a substantial increase in these weapons with the possible affects to the environment and the risk of them falling into terrorist hands may require Ceroo to rexamine the diplomatic and economic relations between the two nations.

Err on the side of caution, friend.

No, he does have a point. Only the official numbers were listed, but as noted, there are a lot of Spec. Ops forces we don't acknowledge in our initial figures for various reasons.

                            But anyway...

Komnenus regrets his extreme military oversight, but notes that this could all be avoided if Alecrast had listed their exact numbers.

However, Komnenus would also like to thank and recognize Alecrast for taking a more reasonable route on the defensive side- stating that the more nations that produce chemical weapons, the safer we will all be; since all will be afraid to war or use such horrid weapons- but he also notes that Iguana Fire "Is not afraid to and will not be deterred from using Weapons of Mass Destruction if provoked."

such weapons should be limited as to reduce the chance of them ever falling into terrorist hands. We shudder to think what would happen if a biological attack were orchestrated in a densly-packed city such as Ceroo City or Newport.
Iguana Fire notes such caution and has stepped up security at vital bases as a precaution against such a catastrophe taking place. In addition, Iguana Fire has instututed mandatory background checks for all scientists involved.
