Three people have been shot dead in Ubinia today by an unkown gunman. The victims where seemingly random; a Farmer and his teenage son where shot dead while working their fields at 10:00 AM this morning in the Gunabi district. Three hours later a woman was shot dead while collecting sea shells, also in the Gunabi district. Another shooting was attempted later in the afternoon at 3:45PM in the Tinniki District, but the gunman thankfully missed his target.
This is the first time in Ubinia someone has died from a gun shot, and it is unknown who the gunman was, where he came from, where he obtained a gun, or what his motive was - if there even was one. The people investigating the incident have not ruled out the possibility of state-sponsered terrorism, which in light of recent events seems quite likely.
In response to the shooting Ubinia will be banning all guns, although it is unlikely that this will stop the influx of weapons from foreign lands.
