The UN has an anti-axis of evil act, which seems to force you to increase military spending.

    No way I'm joining. Yet.

Yeah I know. And it's proposed by Maxtopia, if I'm correct, the founder of that site. Together with him calling left-wing economies "Imploding" or "Developing", the political bias of this fellow seems overly clear.

I have voted against the resolution, as I, and many others it seems, believe that 2 days is too short a time. However I do not see it making a difference, we are vastly outnumbered in our opinion.

Red Jon: As someone pointed out in another thread, new members of the UN are not subject to the resolutions that were passed prior to the nation joining the UN. I do agree, though, that the Axis of Evil resolution leaves a poor impression of the UN bi-partisanship (or lack thereof) and should be eliminated as a matter of principle.

The "Rouge" Nation of Grumatopia has cast its vote against the resolution. The long it takes for resolutions to process through the UN, the more time we have to prepare our reasons for ignoring them when they pass.

Do you still have to abide by the decision if you later decide to leave the UN? If you were in it when the resolution passed.

No idea. I would imagine so, since they're still in law, but if you don't like a reolution and can see it's going to pass, you can leave before then.
