AFAIK, there's no way to speed up entry into the UN; you just have to wait.

As far as the Republic of Centralis can discover, there is no way for any member state to accelerate the bureacratic processes of the UN. If you wish to gain entry, you must allow it to proceed at it's own, pondeorus pace.

The UN is a rather cumbersome political organ that is somewhat nefarious and even Draconian when executing it's resolutions on hapless member states, but I have come to the conclusion that I will remain a UN member until the benefits are outweighed by the downsides.

OOC: You get to vote on it's resolutions, but you also have to follow them, regardless of whether you agre wtih them or not.

And what does that actually mean? That on certain issues you are not allowed to pick a certain option?

No, the UN votes sepperately on similiar legilations which all member nations must abide by. (ie. there could be a proposal to increase enviromental conservation, and if accepted it would increase the conservation in all member nations, whether they like it or not)
