  • A Plea to the Governments of Apolyton

Hello, I'm Gafad Gafan, and I'm Premier of the Khaftani Soviet!
As you may know, we have recently seized power in [CENSORED], with the help of several other groups, who we have already betrayed and wiped out.
As you may also know, we are in it right up to our eyebrows, what with the Al Mastifi army closing in on us and everything.
That's why we need your help!
Do you want to see a socialist government in Al Mastif?
If you do, then you've got to move pretty quick!
    And I mean quick!
Dammit, we're already being bombed, okay?
And there's another quarter of a million or so bloody tanks rumbling down the Great Connecting!
    Help us, dammit!
    HELP US!
    Hello, you've reached Majestic-12 Headquarters.

    Thanks for calling!

So which of the two [CENSORED]s have they taken power in?

Squeb, if you take Ka-Babel up on his offer, the first job he would then propose doing for you would be the assassination of Gafad Gafan. The Free Government of Arkatahten would have to think he was still with them for his plan to work, and he would need your help in orchestrating its success.

Gafan's not going to be assassinated.
He's going to be taken alive, and his death will be televised, and his soul will be forcefully thrust into the jaws of the Accursed himself.

An Ultimatum to the Governments of Apolyton

Hi, it's Gafad Gafan here, and I'm really sweating!
Our forces are in a total rout, our villages are being bulldozed, as are our families.
We've got, say, 215 hours at most, and after that we're activating our stockpiles, taking out a heck of a lot of Apolyton Orii.
The fallout will, I'm sure, seriously annoy the rest of you but, hey, **** the lot of you!
We're going to die, you're going to die, your citizens are going to die, and it'll all be your fault.
                Have a nice day, ***holes!

A Warning to the Governments of Apolyton

Hello, it's Metanaban Al Mastif, coming live to you from Agrabah, where we're coordinating the inevitable total destruction of the Marxist-Leninist rebels.
We know you've already been contacted by one Gafad Gafan, who has asked for your intervention.
I suggest you decline his invitation, as to do so would be treated as an act of war, and would force us to utilise nuclear and biological weaponry, which would severely ruin your day.
The rebels only have about 215 hours at most, so any intervention would be pretty much ineffectual anyway, meaning you’re not actually losing anything by minding your own business.
In the end it's up to you: You either save billions, and avoid total global warfare, or... you don't, and we all die.
                  Your choice.
                  Hello, you've reached Majestic-12 Headquarters.

Grand Commander Panahk-Wosreht of Arkatahten expresses his concern to Metanaban Al Mastif regarding the possibility of nuclear or biological contamination in the area. He requests that, if he can get his forces into the contested zone, they be allowed to contain Gafad Gafan.

Grand Commander Panahk-Wosreht of Arkatahten sends word to Gafad Gafan that he feels kinship with his plight, that the new government of Arkatahten is incensed at their coersion into honoring old treaties that have nothing to do with the new world in Arkatahten. The Grand Commander asks that, if he is able to get his forces past the forces of Al Mastif, he be allowed to join them as they defend their claim to the area.

Grand Commander Panahk-Wosreht of Arkatahten alerts Metanaban Al Mastif that he has contacted Gafad Gafan and pretended to be sympathetic to his cause. The Grand Commander also alerts Metanaban Al Mastif that, if his offer is accepted by Gafad Gafan, he requests access to the area, the proposal being that half of the troops welcomed in by Gafad Gafan will be from Arkatahten and half will be Al Mastif forces wearing Arkatahten uniforms.

Grand Commander Panahk-Wosreht of Arkatahten lets Gafad Gafan know that he has assured Metanaban Al Mastif that Arkatahten is still on the side of the Al Mastif's in order to trick them into letting the Arkatahten weaponry into [CENSORED]. The Grand Commander also lets Gafad Gafan know that, if Metanaban accepts his offer, he will have to allow one-eighth of the forces ear-marked for this action to be Al Mastif troops in Arkatahten uniforms.

"It is only one-eighth of the numbers. I had to agree to it, but we can betray them once we're in [CENSORED]."
