      Ceroo

      quote:

      Ceroo's bid:
Ceroo is situated to the south-west of the main arm of the Apolyton continent and close to the centre of the region. It is a highly modernised nation, boasting excellent transport links- whether you are travelling by sea, aeroplane, train or car (the main islands are linked to each other and the mainland by Ceroostar trainlinks [RL: Eurostar] ). The people are warm and friendly and have recently rediscovered their love of football, with the domestic league gaining record attendances in the past season.

      Stadia to host matches:
Stadio de Ceroo, Ceroo City Capacity:85,000
      (will host the final)
The Millennium Stadium, Sarali Capacity:73,000 (has retractable roof)
      Stadio Atlantis, Atlanya Capacity:54,000
Estadio San Antoni, San Antonio Bay Capacity:44,500
      Newport Stadium, Newport Capacity:20,500
      Riverside Stadium, Shoalvik Capacity:35,000
The Moss Rose Stadium, Macclesi (near Insus) Capacity:17,500
      Stadio Giles Sports, Heatara Capacity:19,500
(Stadia from Vais'e, Caer Ceroo and Kimmi are also available, but are left out of the initial bid to accomodate two stadia from San Antonio Bay)

All stadia are 'all-seaters' and meet UAFA safety requirements.

We hope the above meets your approval and would be happy to accept your vote! See you in Ceroo 04!

      Iguana Fire

Being Situated in the far north of Apolytonia, Iguana Fire is far enough distant from the Azan Region's troubles and has sought to avoid influence in the region. As such, Iguana Fire should be a well-accepted neutral ground. Indeed, Iguana Fire's very neutrality should repel all claims of preference toward either side in the conflict. Nevertheless, Iguana Fire, in the event of trouble or terrorism, can also merit one of the region's strongest police forces. With cameras on every street corner and random security checks at airports and a national identification and tracking system- (managed by the IOTA- International Operations Tracking Authority), Iguana Fire has claim to being perhaps the safest nation in Apolytonia.

Iguana Fire also borders the vast ocean and has several picturesque rivers running through the nation. In its capital city of Igualica, bordering on the Igualica basin, Iguana Fire can boast three competing Free-Market stadiums. (The city itself boasts a population of 35 million football-rabid souls, with another 120 million in the 100 mile metropolitan region.)

In the Centralis region in the center of the nation, the Random river flows down from the mountains to the city of Centralis (population 20 million) hosting the Centralia Stadium (seating: 65,000)

Also included in the bid are the beautiful Spherko Heights stadium and the oceanside NewPort Shipping Co. Stadium.

So come to Iguana Fire, and you won't be disappointed.

Iguana Fire- the Nation for FreeMarketers Everywhere. Acceptable to all.

                  Voted, for Ceroo suprisingly.
I wasn't going to, but then thought "what if I don't get any votes?!".

In other news, Ceroo's confidence was severly dented as they went down 4-0 to San Antonio Bay on the weekend. San Antonio star Raul scoring his first international hat-trick...

Hey there, Ming Tran is now up to 4,500 seats, almost triple what we had a week ago. By the time this thing is played we should have several decent sized school gyms we can hold it in.

The Arch-Capitalist expresses his extreme displeasure at that wiseass b@stard's suggestion that he would engage in such an unprofitable activity as hosting a regional cup.
May the voter's financial assets turn green, shrivel and drop off.

Did the Arch-Capitalist think he might bear some of the blame for saying "I can provide the stadiums!" in the thread where people were discussing hosts?

Nowhere in the post did it say "I will host the tournament".
