ok joncha, based on close scuriny of the map, my original positions of my troops is ok, the highway crosses to the East side of riverbefore going into hofesh.

my main troops are there on south side of river along the highway.

my 2nd group is coming up the road to the east thru the mountains, will take a bit longer so have them further down south say where the T junction in the mountains roads are.

my sea landing 3rd group landed where that road heading west hits the shore, we are advancing east from there, with smaller groups moving south and north along main highway.

The front line of Free Azan should now be along that raod from Hofesh to coast with nothern hofesh in FCL hamds south west hofesh in azani hands and southern hofesh in auldonina hands,

We are basically in a hold position awaiting our allies attacks on Tel Zack and ronya to be complete and move north.

Reconstruction of the highway and railway is under way by audlonina engineers,

Here's a drastically scaled down version so people who had problems with the attachment (or couldn't be arsed to download it) can see what Azazel's been up to.

Ras, just because it's possible to send tanks through a mountain pass, it doesn't mean it's advisable. Even with a road going through them, hills and mountains are a huge defensed mulitiplier (Thermopylae ring any bells?).

I'll change the map to put them back there if you want, but don't complain if Frankychan pins them down and kills them.

your point on defence mulitplyers is exaclty why they travleing there, no fcl troops in that area ,so if he attacks i get the modifiers..

to attack he would have to use air and we have the ascendency in that area so he would lose any air battle.

his only chance is to do what he aooears t obe doing , tha tis fighiting it out in the cities where the local popualtion become shields.

if he goes on the attack he will lose due to sheer numbers involved. he cant attack along the whole front with the allaince moving up the east coast and my troops digging in on the west.

i await his response but as i said if he attacks my advacnign columsn he better be prepared for mass losses.

the same reason it has taken me so long to get my troops to hofesh is the same reason he will not hav emany of his in or near hofesh, too much mountains to travel fast.

He just need a small force to hold you there. Aerial bombardment (by missiles or bombers) will do the rest.

If he doesn't have any troops there, then he would almost certainly have used a "swiss defence" and clogged the passes with landslides.

Either way, not a smart attack route.

I agree the landslides amy hold us back in progress, but with numbers on our side we wil leventualy win ..

Whilst he may make some aeiral attacks, if he sends too much he will be leaving hofesh uncovered.. If he doesnt send enough he wil lb eoutnumbered and shot down by our airforce, we may take losses but we will get through,

Remember this is my 2nd force, it supposed to be a diversion force, if they fivert some of his forces then i hav eacheieved my succes..

Mind you, folks, this is NOT the final map. There is yet ****loads of work to be done:

                                1) "rezoning" some stuff.
                                2) Adding more land features.
                                3) adding towns and villages.
                                4) adding small roads.
                                5) adding energy infrastructure.
                                6) adding mines, etc.
                                7) adding more farmland, and marking different crops that are grown there: for example, light green means that field crops are grown there. the checkered light green means that corn is grown on that land, but it Doesn't necessarily mean that there is no wheat on that land, as well .

Some more info: the little triangle without a bottom mean that it's a land where needled ( is this the right word? ) trees grow ( similar to Canada, you know? ). the triangle and circle mean a mixed forest, mediterranean, sort of. The circles and dots mean jungle. the light yellow stands for cattle growing, with twin little vertical lines means open grazing areas.
