  • Ras: I'm not sure if we've established that it's been a month or not... the waiting for Lazerus was real time, not game time. Even so, what you could move there in a month wouldn't be able to stop him if he was determined enough (ie, if he didn't care how many planes he lost)

        • i must say i already posted in the war thread that the fact he busy in tel azan has allowed us to bomb his armoured diviosions,,, lets wait till he says how i crushed his armour before i go further...

Ill await his finalyl getting some setback to his military..

if this attack also goes unacknowledged or at no cost to him, then althoguh i have posted that i now accept his attacks on my supply ships, i will not continue to accept his attacks on my armys....

          • The allies have taken back a third of Azan. I'd say that qualifies as a military setback for the Hive.

Just keep roleplaying, Ras. Ignoring events won't help your argument any.

The biggest US CVN has an airwing of around 70-85 planes. 400 would require 5 CVBG (carrier battlegroups) or so.

A full fleet could have that and then some.

Not really. The US has 12 CVBG distributed among a number of fleets.

                        • So i got it almost spot on with 400 assuming hes abit weaker then the US? I just posted what i considered a slightly larger then expected number to stop him complaining i was downgrading his force

"They are too busy attemtping to bomb tel Azan and the Harbour, they will have little left to stop the combined missions of the allies
As for that have you checked the Chinese airforce recently ? 2,000 is not a large % and i'm bigger then China and twice as mean.

                          • OOC: If you want to, you can probably throw a lot of planes at his fleet and literally decimate it. You are going to take lots of damage to yourself, however, since modern CVBGs are designed to stop incoming air strikes.

                            • Yeah i know, but with his aircraft decimated other then launch cruise missiles (of which they can't have too many left before heading off to resupply) then that fleet isn't really worth the loss right now.
Better to keep them as cover for the armoured columns, or for removing cities

                              • Well i find all the discussions about military power a bit unclear. The only factors that count are militairy spending and economy. A nation that invests in education or that has other priorities can never achieve military power ? I think that is rubbish. A nation like the Hive can not be extremely powerfull on all fronts. Their militairy might must have down sites like a lack of education. Lack of food or something
