on the road south....
The Armoured corps continued south, infornt lay the city of concept behind was the trucks and armoured vehicles carrying the Azani Freedom Fighters.....
So far little resitance had been met, the lcoal vilagers met them with flag waving and cheering as they sped thru, a truck with medicla supplies stopped at each village to make sure all the locals were well.
as night fell the tanks ground to a halt and their combined diesel exhausts filled the dusk light with a haze.
They made encampment and waited for the signal....

Meanwhile, back in New Aurora...
Gabriel was rather pleased with the latest developements. Despite some strong counter attacks, and growing resistance from occupation forces, He knew the momentum is on the side of Free Azan. It was time hit FCL, and hit them hard. Two plans were laying before him.
It was time to act upon plan 1:
Operation Bear Hug: the finishing up of the remainder of FCL forces is Concept.
Light Infantry of the 992 Paratrooper Regiment have started attacking isolated FCL outpost in SW Azan, and an all-out offensive across the line begun, with esp. rapid armored movements on the A-6 and A-7 Freeways leading to concept from the North and the South.Comment

UR: The red stars are centres of Azani resistence in the city (revolutionary councils, militia headquarters and the like), the circles represent "garrisons" of some kind, divisional hq for the FCL, and the airport for Noosland. They don't represent a fixed number, as such, but you can assume they are defended positions.

Colonel Grey stood at the end of runway #1 when a military transport came taxing along. He had been expecting them. Around him, soldiers were moving around briskly. The 3rd Light has been taking over the defense of the airport, with trucks coming up the A-7, to A-7b, then A-55. The Azanis were able to keep the routes open, good on them. Of course, they had help, but they have done well, so far. Teams of Nooslandians were still occuping the high points.
The plane stopped not far from Grey, and fully armed Noolanders started coming off. One of them came up to him and snapped off a salute smartly. "Colonel Grey, great job here." the woman continued, "I am Major Maria Tagaki, leader of Alpha Dagger 6."
"Ah yes, major, I heard a lot about you. Last year at Hampton Road, that was spectacular." Grey looked intensely at Maria Tagaki, who looked more like a movie star with short hair than a soldier.
"Why thank you colonel," Tagaki flashed a warm smile. "How's the preparation?"
"Follow me major," Grey turned and started heading toward the control tower.
Inside the control room, various sorts of equipment and displays had been set up. Soldiers were looking around with binoculars. There's a man sitting in front of a large TV while occasionally working with what seemed to be a joystick.
Grey led Tagaki and her team to the TV. "We are using an UAV to do some final recon on the divisional HQ. Our intel so far seems to be correct."
"Great. The airport is just in the right location too."
"Major, the other teams are waiting for you in conference room 1 in the terminal building."
"Thank you colonel. How long is it before sundown?"
"About 5 hours and 35 minutes. Lets go to the conference room."

The camera pans across the city of tel azan, zooimg in on buildings burning and bodeis in the streets. A voice over starts speaking....
"...This is the cost of war ladies and gentlemen, as you ca nsee , the city has been hit hard, both sides have lost many good men and women . The Auldoninains may be claiming they have suffered little in all this, but as you can see many of these dead and wounded are wearing the Auldonina uniform."
The camera changes to a close up of the reporter in his hotel room
"i have seen many Audlonina soldiers running low on supplies and even essential ration packs are running low, if it wasnt for the friendly Azanis many may not have eaten for weeks. The locals have been doing the community thing and inviting soldiers into their homes but they cannot maintain this. "

"as you can see the locals are happy to have been liberated , but at what cost, billions of dollars of infrastructur will need to be replaced and who is going to pay for that? This war needs a peaceful settlement and the Governments of Hive and Audlonina and the coalition need to sit down and work out a plan .
