  • Roshem airport [OOC: I am assuming there's such a thing ]

A military transport had just landed on runway #2 and taxied to the end. Elements of the Nooslandian 111st Air Mobile Division were surging out, mostly into the main passager building where remnants of the FCL troops were defending. Earlier in the day, Blue Caps and Nooslandian teams had taken control of the control tower and other high points, giving them virtual control of the runways where the 111 could land.

Colonel Grey walked briskly down a corridor in the main building. "Captain Stone, how many of them are left?"

"Not many, maybe 100 or 200, all demoralised. I suspect the fighting should not last more than 10 to 20 minutes."

"Very good, have the medics tend to our wounded and start flying them to the field hospital. Also have them tend to wounded FCL soldiers we rounded up. Major Goldsmith, inform the alliance that we have seized control of the airport.

"Everybody else, lets start preparing perimeter defenses. The heavy equipment will be here soon.

"I hope them Cerooans get their paratroops here soon enough."

    • The Auldonina Artilelry had been quiet for a week now, not a single shot fired. No airraid sirens had sounded over the city , not a single misisle launch.

Now it was down to street to street , house t ohouse. All they could hope for was the locals to join the Free Azanis and rise up against the Hive. They had to otherwise the loss of life on both sides could be huge.

Well for now the free Azani were doing the fighting the auldonina army was jsut awaiting orders and providing support as needed. They had captured one of the larger hospitals and were laying out a defencive perimeter and helping to restock the hospital equipment and flying in military doctors.

OOC: still, if you consider the FCL division as regular, they are still too big for a divsion. I counted 11 regiments for the FCL "division" - that means it's 2 or 3 times the size of a normal division.

Ras are you seriously telling me every weapon you fire at me in that city is "presicion guided missile", your country would be bankrupt by now.
and yes i am cutting your supply lines, a far easier task then your massive bombing raids which i did acknowledge and you keep posting about despite the fact i still consider you wouldnt have more then several hundred aircraft in the area. Now alot less if you've taken "heavy" losses

            • An ES-13C has just finished a lazy 8 right off the coast of Roshem, its electronic sensors were probing the air, snagging in any bits of electromagnetic signal, no matter how weak. The computers were running, comparing and collating data and signals, while most of the crew was trying to convert all the raw data into information.

Its main task, as the Azanis were fighting the FCLs, was to primarily find out FCL's radar and SAM installations and how they operate. Of course, signal intelligence has always been a standing objective, and a lot of information about the enemy could be obtained simply by analysing where, when, and how about these signals, without actually need to break the cyphers.

Not that far away, another fixed wing prop plane, an AS3 was on ASW duty. It was flying slowly over the sea, a large towed array of sonar was watching for subs.

No not broke, we have a large bankroll for this kind of thing... But no not all were precision jus tthe ones used over Azan taerritory, all bombs dropped on FCL were regualr bombs.

and yes i am cutting your supply lines, a far easier task then your massive bombing raids
actually no not easier as i dont use merchant ships for supplies, most are flown in via Hercules helicopters or on Naval Ships with full naval suport, we also hav emuch supply from other nations, we are buying supplys on the open market and having them shipped in using their shipping as you obviously only targeting my ships. Thesupplies are shipped into Azan territory then flown into the city .
which i did acknowledge and you keep posting about despite the fact i still consider you wouldnt have more then several hundred aircraft in the area. Now alot less if you've taken "heavy" losses
no i have large squadrons in area, the war we conducted on azan was only a prep for what was to come, we knew once we arrived wither we would face a world coalition or as we ended up doing , facing a evil empire. So the numbers of plane sin area which was built up during the offencive in azan is very large. Additional y we hav ebases in Western apolyton .

Being a small island nation we always ahv ehad many Aircraft carriers as we dont have room on our island for 1.2 Bill people and airports too.

So nealry al lof our Airforce is Located on aircraft carriers.

Now back to you acknowleging my attacks , you havent , not one report on any losses or such. Since you obviously didnt take any losses, none of my ships are sunk either.

Youi will notice when i conduct Dogfights that i post both sides lose planes, althoguh the losses are higher on your side as I am jsut too good !! (just kididng)

                  • Have you ever heard of logistics or an inkling as to how it works ?

obviously i have , i expalined above my supply lines, they well established and well defended. Reason i havent pushed further afield is till i capture the port i after i cant increase my supply rate. So once that city is taken by the Free Azani i will be able t osupply more troops.

                          • UR: The red stars are centres of Azani resistence in the city (revolutionary councils, militia headquarters and the like), the circles represent "garrisons" of some kind, divisional hq for the FCL, and the airport for Noosland. They don't represent a fixed number, as such, but you can assume they are defended positions.

Ras: Lazerus has reposted the logistics debate in the OOC thread

"Report please Captain " he yelled across to the Front Supervisor. Captain Gomex was in charge of monitoring all the latest reports fro mthe battles and updating the map located in the main terminal which was being used by the military as their HQ.

"Azani Freedom fighters advancing swiftly, not much resistance now. Apparently the Hive soldiers are starving with no supplies for the last month, the Azani will reach the city centre by morning and our own troops have just advanced into the Harbour area."

"Good work, tohse Azani are ferocious fighters"

"well sir they are fighting for their homeland"

"yes that is the needed catalyst to make anyone fight harder. Latest indication of numbers left?"

"small pockets still to the South East, making a determined stand. But the locals are now pointing them out to us and wont be long til lthey are nullified. "

                                "Prisoners?"

"None sir, the hive troops commit suicide before they wil lsurrender."

                                "damn outrage."

"Thousands of corpses found in the Major shopping malls sir, very bad odour."

"Give them a burial. I want commendation orders put in for the Brave Azani fighters."

"Already done sir. Telegram sent to the Azani HQ informing of the bravery deeds."

"Well done. Tomorrow I meet with their new leader and am hoping he wil lfly i nhere to officialy take the city back."

"Yes politics stil lplay a part. Have we got the armoured divisions rolling?"

"Yes sir, two corps heading south to clear the highway to Concept and three corps now heading north to pave the way for the Azani to retake the northern city."

"Wel ldone al lis good. I have ordered our airforce to cease al lattacks til lwe can ensure the local populace are not human shileds of the escaping hive trooops. Wil ldelay the ending a little but cant be helped, we need world opinion on our side."
