  • Something tells me the League won't be letting anyone from al Mastif anywhere near Azan, but I guess that would be up to the Azanis...

          • [ooc: holding off on any troop movements for a short while then...]

            Message to Free Azani Peoples
            Greetings compatriots,
We trust this message finds you well. As promised, the fleet is being mobilised and is due to arrive at the intended co-ordinates sometime soon to bolster the liberation effort.
We would also like to inform you that a transport vessel containing several of your generals who were evacuated from FCL-occupied Azani territory by INS Fable [ooc: started it but didn't take it anywhere] is en route to yourselves.

            Kind Regards
            -Sir T

              • OOC: No.

                IC:

"We are taking hostile fire! I have casualties!"

It's to be expected, thought Colonel Suzuki grimly. They're too far from the perimeter.

The squad leader whose voice was booming on the radio link had been charged with patrolling the banks of the River Zrah west of Or Yedah. Suzuki's tracking satellite placed the squad more than five miles off the Karakasian soldiers' designated patrol route.

"God damn it!" he cursed. "Have we anybody to help them?"

"None," his aide replied grimly. "I -"

"Find some," Suzuki snapped. He pulled his pistol out of its holster and flicked the safety off. "And muster them in the yard. And I will go."

                "Sir!"

"They're my responsibility," Suzuki said vehemently. "You're in charge until I get back."
Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.

                • Corproal smith looked over the bay and wondered why the enemy had gone quiet.

Al lday it ha dlooked bad, now they failed to return fire..

He glanced at his own men. A few had taken hits but the medics were dealing with it..

He looked across the bay again and seeing no sign of action, he stepped down and began to organise dinner for his troops.

                  Pizza for all he thought...

                  • OK. Since nothing much seems to be happening at the moment, I thought I'd post some more pictures from the Guardinian landing operations...

Colonel Downings stood up from his chair, his right hand held up at the end of an outstretched arm.

"Excuse me, general," his voice took on an edge that he was trying to hide, "did I hear something wrong? Are you comparing us with those insane characters at Auldoninna?"

Downings paused for a moment, his gazes became hard. "I realise that Jonchastan is a young nation, but you surely know of our sterling reputation in the region. We have never been an aggressive or domineering nation - in fact, our nation has been pushing mutual multilateral relations for decades.

"Last time we operated outside our border, we were involved with the rescue of the royalty of the Kingdom of Wine from coup conspirators. What about that time we liberated a marijuanian cruiser from terrorists?"

He sat back down on the chair.

"Look outside, general. Our combat engineers turned the makeshift airstrip into an airfield that the biggest transport planes could land. We created fortified defensive positions stretching all the way around the perimeters."

"If we are going to cooperate, you have to trust us."

                                "Now where were we?"

General Yoon paused, as if considering whether or not she should continue.

"Frankly, Colonel, your offer is almost too good to be true. It fits in exactly with how we're already operating. But I'm going to give you - and Noosland - the benefit of the doubt. If you're serious about your offer, you may want to send those soldiers of yours up A-7 to Roshem."
"General, that's because it wasn't too hard to guess your defensive plans with your men in position," Colonel Downings smiled.

"Now, about going Roshem, our forces may be stretching too thin to hold against Hive/FCL counterattacks. We have only two divisions to put into position, and that's not enough to hold a defensive line 10's of kms long.

"As I understand it, Guardinian forces landed just north of here. It would be much better if they take up the defense of Roshem."
