This is not necessarily a good thing, is it?

I mean, I would be more than willing to pay for a domain name, but now the domain is owned by NameZero. And I don't really like that big huge frame they've put on our site...

This will mean that to get the domain we will have to buy it from NameZero. And who knows what they will charge for it!

Well, back from a short holiday now. I see that our domain name is working now. This is because I subscriped to NameDemo and not NameZero.

I can remove the banner with a little trick, altough it's not as it would be like a normal domain registration. Here it is:

On the main page opened by the domain refer, I make a page that refers to our index.html on civ3.sourceforge.net in the whole browser. The banner will disapear (as it is a totally new page), however the domain name in the adres bar of your browser will change to http://civ3.sourceforge.net/index.html too.

I hope you all understand this, or should I make a demo for it anyway?

I understand (pretty much) what you are doing. And I think you should do that. It doesn't really matter much what is written in the browser adress bar, as long as www.gunsgermsandsteel.com takes the surfer to our website.

Oh yeah. About the website...

I don't know if my resolution is really weird (1024*768), but on my screen the website only takes up around half of the screen in the width. I see no real reason for that.

In stead, why not optimize it for a 800*600 screen? This should mean that the front page should be completely viewable without having to scroll.

Well, as you can see the refer system on http://www.gunsgermsandsteel.com now works! More information for heardie (or anyone who want to know). The domain name now rfers it's top (main) frame to http://www.pekok.demon.nl/refer.html which opens http://civ3.sourceforge.net/ on it's turn... in the full window!

So: It works now, BUT for the style it's more logical when the refer.html is also on the sourceforge server (should be http://civ3.sourceforge.net/refer.html I think). I mailed heardie the refer.html file so he can upload it to sourceforge (as I can't get this SSL uploading to work). But of course this all is just a matter of style, not functionality.
