  • Oh God... Think about the possibilities...

Your pack's T-Rexs just got their 2 new babies, but one of your stegosaurus died in the last battle against those evil dino of the Xyostrop tribe, and they were even able to steal 4 raptors babies. Now you're angry, but you can't attack for now, those 2 baby T-Rex need to grow and need their parents for that. But, as you wonder how you would be able to defend your tribe another time, you're stegosaurus elder just discover he can 'throw' his spine to the ennemy! The first long range weapon of the dino! And, what a luck, when you breed those X and Y dino, it gave a dino that can spit some acide not really far away, but it is really effective! Now, I think those Xyostrop dino will stay far away from your tribe. Some years later, oh no, no not enough food for your growing tribe, you need to move to the north... or maybe steal that little island from the Karans, but unfortunately, your T-Rex can't swim and you can't let them behind. So you head north to find a new place to settle, but something odd is there... some kind of furry animal!!! DISGUSTING! Kill em all... but no, they are too fast and climb in tree and make bizarre incessant noises. You decide then to let them live and call em stupid monkeys, they are harmless, how will they be able to survive for a long time anyway? Your dino race will never die, we are too strong compared to those fury animals. Some times later, lucky you, you find a new way of transportation : dino back riding! Just get your T-Rex on the back of those big dinos and head back to take that lush island overthere!

(Me, a writer? You must be kidding I suck, but kinda like that, even if english's my second language, hehe)

As your T-Rexes and Raptors disembark on the shore, you hear a bizzare noise coming from the sky : flying Dinosaurs!! You never saw those before, but fortunately for you, they doesn't seem to attack and retreat back to back of the island. Now it's time to work out a way to get those dinos out of the island. A surprise attack would be the best idea, they will never think about T-Rexes and Raptors from the innerland attacking them on that island! As you move forward with your little army, the stegosaurus stay with the babies to protect them. Then, you see something unbelievable : an army of normally peacefull broncosaurus, probably alerted by the pterosaurus, and trying to protect their lushful paradise! Still, those big herbivores are no match against your fast moving raptors and angy T-Rexes, but something imprevisible happens: the land begins to shake and fruits are falling from the tree all around you. The broncos seems affraid and run back home while the flying dinos slowly fly over your troops and seem not to worry. There's a big explosion and debris are begining to be falling from the sky. Trees even begins to burn. A Volcano! Oh no, the babies! You head back to the shore, but unfortunately, what you feared happened : the lava from the raging vocano engulfed your tribes on the shore. Only your offensive dino are alive, and some of your elders ran away at the first sign of treat. You can't cross back because of the lava river... NOW COMING YOUR WAY! You must act fast. You see mountains on the other side of the island where the broncos went and you decide that you have nothing to lose and run in that direction with lava on your tails. You finally make it to the mountains and can take a rest... but not for long, those broncos are back, angry that you have trespassed their territory. You try to explain them what happend, but they doesn't seem to comprehend your language. Fortunately, the pteros are back with the tale of the demise of your tribe and finally the broncos understand what happened to you. They then agree to join you and help you out rebuilding your lost tribe and getting back in the inner land. But you must wait for the lava to cool down tho. While you stay with the broncos, they teach you how to use trees to cross water and also teach you how to feed from the fruits on the top of the trees, but unfortunately, your T-rexes can't climb trees, but your raptors are agile enough to do it. Wow, it tastes much better than grass abd leaves, but still not the taste of a good dino steak...

Anyone thinking this game cannot be great, I beg to differ =)

Just some ideas : real time would be better, BUT, i don't want it to be a RTS, where you build units and kill you ennemies. This is a fight for survival, not a conquer the world, or destroy your ennemies type of game. Well, I hope it will be like that. The goal would be, maybe, to get your dinos in a safe warm spot before the Ice Age, get them to the great plains of america, or objectives like that. Maybe even destroy the opposite tribe in smaller campaigns and MP campaigns. This would make fast games sometimes, but some scenarios would be a lot longer. Multiplayer would see many tribes competitioning to be the first in america, or something like that. AND, please, no mission kind of things. You have an objective, thats it, not : Mission 1 : get your dino from waypoint one to way point 2 and destroy tribe 3 along the way; Mission2, do this, then that, then this... That would suck. Also, not a SimLife thing, but things could be borrowed from it, just that it's not on a large scale like that and is more real time style, where you fight for survival, while evolving and discovering new territories.
