Contradictions? Confusion?
How is this possibly going to work?
On the one hand, Firaxis talks of using raptors as scouts, and stegasaurs as defences. Does this mean it will be like Civ, with dinos replacing units, working for differen "teams". The game will be unit based, not evolution based.
On the other hand, Firaxis talks of better dinos, possibly surviving climate change. This implies the game will be evolution based, not unit based.
On the one hand Firaxis talks of seeing Rexes chasing herbivores, implying action taking place on a very short time scale.
On the other hand, they talk of spanning 65 000 000 years of history, implying that individuals will be essentially irrelevant.
There are two competing views here. One is evolution based (what I'm hoping for.. I enjoyed SimLife, but wished it were more fun), and the other is unit based.
