  • Saved Game problems

I am having problem loading any saved game with CTP2.

I recently installed CTP2 on a new computer and only applied the Official Activision Patch 1.11 However, when i save a game, even if I am only one turn into the game, it cannot be loaded again. CTP2 starts to boot up then the screen goes black and back to the desktop. Is this a known issue with the Offical patch?

Usually I use cradle and have never had this problem. I am not trying to load cradle games with a non-cradle version. I don't have cradle games on the new computer.

    It's very frustrating.

    Any ideas?

Figured out the problem. The default game, or the CTP2 program with only official Activision software, won't let you load a saved game with 30 opponents. You can play it (apparantly), but can't load the saved game.

    Thanks me!

No problem me! Why don't you stop playing around on the computer and do your freakin' laundry!

Hey! I'm not the boss of me!

Just a quick note. CTP2 out of the box with only the Official Activision patch can only handle 28 players and still be able to load a saved game. Anything above that it cannot load -- despite the fact that the profile.txt says it can handle 32.

Second note: laundry -- undone. And it's getting a little Gorgonzola in here.

I'd suggest adding it to the FAQ, but Martin already did.

Old thing, but I run into this just today.

Arrrgh. I knew it once but for not playing CTP2 a while, I forgot this one.

IIRC player1 mentioned what the reason could be, but I can't remember what he mentioned.
