I want a televangelist!

Hello everyone,

Whenever ive played Call to power II ive never being able to build clerics or televangelists. Does anyone have any idea why? Im thinking its either a bug or me being stupid and playing in the wrong settings. Its starting to drive me craaaazy!!

If anyone can help i will be eternally grateful.

Is that for the televangelist too? I've never had a desire to make one, but it seems that by the time televangelists are available, Theocracy is a litle out-dated.

Yeah, thats why it really is daft, i checked in units.txt just in case, i never build either. Just roll 'em over with cavalry.

I’m not quite sure about this, and I haven’t tried it, but I think you can make a Televangelist available to any government as soon as you discover the necessary advance, by removing the “IsTelevangelist” tag within Units.txt.

As I said, I haven’t tried it, so I have no idea whether it works.

Then again – why would you want a Televangelist anyway?

No!!!!

You make the televangelist avaible to all governments by removing of its data in the unit.txt the line:

GovernmentType GOVERNMENT_THEOCRACY

I believe the line

IsTelevangelist

Is what gives the televangelist bonus when attacking cities with television. As you can see there is a line in the television data in the buildings.txt to make the relationship with the line in the unit.txt to give this bonus.
