Sounds good. We can make arguments and threats etc outside the game and complete trades over turns i think.

Good to have you in Centrifuge

Okay, I'm new to this, so bare with me...

      Quick question...
If we start the game with lets say 5 players, what happens if someone gets lost in the shuffle (due to giving up, losing computer access, going to jail or whatever ) Does the AI automatically take over, thus allowing the other four to continue?

Of couse you guys will have to give up of some proposal types.
The ones that use arguments like give gold (argument = gold amount), give city (argument = wich city), reduce pollution (argument = pollution amount).
Of couse i could just remove the argument of some of them like reduce pollution but without the amount, etc...
And you guys cant make counter-proposal and threat (I could remove the button if you like).

        Are these sacrifices bearable???

It is up to you to decide.
ah ok, that rules out the most useful proposals Well thanks for trying Pedrunn, i think we should go ahead without any fixes then, just to keep things simple. Maybe you can go over the code some other time, i know youve got alot of work on now.

The computer doesnt take over if someone drops out, we'd either need a replacement or a neutral moderator to move the game on for anyone who misses a turn.

Still waiting on replies from Nuke Boy and Vultur... or anyone else interested.

And yet the code isnt 100% that will work out. I wa going to tell you guy to give a try without it.
In the future i will give it a try. Or someone may want to try with my help.

I'd like to join in. Surely it should be possible to conduct diplomacy by means of gifts, which the temporarily-AI player will almost certainly accept.

Good deal, so does that makes 3 confirmed? I say that we give it a few more days, (a week max) to let others confirm or not, and then get the ball rolling...

              Does that sound good?

urgh? erm... I don't think I can play this one, I have a busy year ahead of me, and I really don't want to get too caught up in any more stuff.

What kind of moderating do you need? I'm happy to take a copy of the gamefile each time, and store them until the end in case there are cheating claims or whatever. And chase after people who have taken ages (says I, )
Other than that, it's just a matter of sending files round the circle.

I thought that collective "we" meant you were interested, but nevermind If you still want to moderate the game as you suggested that would be great. In each case the person would play the turn, then send it to you and the next person in the queue. Unless it kills your inbox before then.

If needed, I could moderate as well. I have a 80 GB HDD so I don't have to worry about size limitations with lots of savegames

Have you decided on a mod for the game yet? Or is going to be vanilla CtP2?
I'd be interested to play too if I like the setup... (being fussy, I know)

Yeah i had been tossing around the idea of playing the World Map scenario, but everyone would want to be USA or Russia. But maybe Apolyton Mod. We'd definately need some kind of quickstart settings though, more gold, PW, settler acts like a city planner.
