  • Just Average, Says Aftonbladet

(14 January 2002, 18:42 | CtP2) Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has posted a brief review of Call To Power II written by staff member Therese Granlund. It was awarded 3/5 possible "plus" points. According to the site, it was originally published in their print edition last January. On a related note, the site gave Civilization III 5/5 "plus" points. - DanQ
5/5 "plus" points for Civ 2.5? That tells us everything about this newspapper. A non civer tested a civ game and he gave it 5/5 "plus" points, because the game was just created by the master Sid Mayers himself. I would say Therese Granlund did not played Civ3 enough to give us his opinion.

So from that I saw I must say Civ3 is avarage the same obsolate stupid tile improving system that is dependend on time wasting units.

Civ3 offers the same obsolate 8bit 255 colors graphics. It is still depending on these space wasting graphics formats.

    There is no stacked combat.

    Obviously cheating AI.

    No German version.

No slic language, no scenarios, and that should be a better civ.

    And finally you can't mod.

So my conclusion without mods CTP2 is avarage but with mods you can CTP2 call the real Civ4 that is far ahead of Civ "3". So you can throw the rewiev of Therese Granlund into the dustbin.

AftonBladet is a joke of a newspaper, you shouldn't take them seriously....I know,I live there and I only buy it once a week just to get a TV-Guide.

    and about that 5/5 review...that isn't strange..even gamespot and firingsquad gave it a 9+.

Only honest review of Civ3 was from WarGamer.
