I bought CTP2 when it first game out last Christmas but after a month I was not happy with it, the AI never put up a fight or attacked. Did Activision ever fix this and if so were can I get the patch, as I would like to try the game again?

Other than the first official v2.1 patch, there was no further support from Activision, but the player-made mods to the game should increase to a better level how well the AI can defend at least, and make it harder for you to win.
If you haven't tried it already, try BlueOs Frenzy AI mod (available here on Apolyton http://apolyton.net/ctp2/files.
Or try Cradle of Civ mod, which revamps and extends the ancient age, gives the AI a lot of help, and makes for the best game of CtP2 yet. (IMHO)Concrete, Abstract, or Squoingy?

Activision supports their games very well. I guess all their other games are well supported like CTP2. Therefore I think I won't buy another Activion product.
maybe I would buy a CTP3, but I don't believe they will make it.
Yeah you should try Cradle. In particular the new goods are .

Last summer Activision came out with a v1.11 patch but that was the a VERY, VERY minor fix to a seriously underdeveloped game. That said most of the problems had to do with the AI so if a person is willing to play multiplayer then the game works great. I think the system itself was great but the high amount of bugs, poorly done AI, and lack of support from Activision killed it.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
