  • Being Nuked

Has the AI ever used Nuclear Weapons on you? I quite often can see it building Nukes, if AI gets the tech, but in my 1.5 weeks of CtP II, I haven't been Nuked a single time.
Is there any chance, or if not, it also means that Anti-Ballistic Missiles are useless.

No, never been nuked either. But having that wonder that destroys nukes for most of the 2 weeks I've been playing may have something to do with it.

Will see if at "very hard" with diplofrenzy makes any difference.

Drop a couple of nukes on them and watch them launch a crazy ass barrage back at you. I've been nuked and when it was done the world had gone mad, and I had little to no units left and was destroyed by barbarians, as sad as that sounds

You just have to piss them off a little bit. From what I gather of the frenzy mod the AI will use nukes on a first strike attack. Haven't had that yet since I changed to frenzy but it will come I can forsee it

That was on impossible (or as my game says Deity). I don't play much on the other levels but with the mods now it's getting tougher to stay somewhere in the top 3 at the end of the game.

Weird, I know, but I want to get that feeling when the AI uses the nuclear weapon on me.
And, refrasion should be: Ils sont foux les Judensis!

              Don't miss nationality with residence!

Yep, those bastards nuked me. Once. The entire city disappeared! But it's their loss.. it was one of their own cities that I'd just captured. Wahahaha! :-)

I retaliated by nano-cleansing every single city!

I wonder, then, with Diplomod also installed would it initiate discussion to try and reduce nuclear weaponry?

After all, that's why we have nuclear weapons--to deter war. Without them we'd probably all be at war right now.

Another question on nukes that my current game throws up: Starting with 6 civs on "Very Hard" it's now reduced to 4 (hard on the way to being reduced to 3).

I now have the advance needed to build nukes, nukes appear in my build list, and I could build some in 1 turn (rushbuy). Will this help me in my diplomatic negotiations? Or inspire fear so civs I'm at war with come groveling for peace? Do I have to have actual warheads or just the technology?

My experience is that thretening to destroy their cities when you have nukes works better. Or perhaps that was because I already owned 75% of the world

Just get the dissassembler for taking a look at the AI script, just as I did.

Dissassembler? Please explain! I've looked at a lot of the text files detailing AI input but I don't know of a dissassembler. Does it deal with SLC files?

                              Thanks!
